APPI International Presenter Sarah qualified physiotherapist in 1992 from Birmingham, working briefly in the NHS before moving to a private hospital in North London, the Hospital Of St John and St Elizabeth, where she developed an interest in movement dysfunction, lumbopelvic stability and muscle imbalances, initially running Core Stability classes working in conjunction with the National Back Pain Association, based on the teachings of the Kinetic Control group. She still works there on a part time basis, a Hospital that houses many specialist units including Spinal Advance and the London Shoulder Clinic. Sarah was introduced to the APPI in 2005, subsequently completing all her Matwork Pilates training with the APPI. She also now works at Bicester Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in Oxfordshire, specializing in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Matwork Pilates rehabilitation. She also has her own Pilates business, which involves Matwork classes at beginner rehabilitation levels, post natal classes to advanced fitness classes, as well as one to one clients. Her experience in teaching and clinical practice, had lead to a desire to impart her enthusiasm for Pilates onto others so she became an APPI presenter in 2009, which has given her many opportunities to work closely with the World Leaders in Pilates Education, presenting courses all over Europe and the States.
